about the project
_____
Our team received Honorable Mention for our toolkit design.

The 2020 PPA (Paperboard Packaging Alliance) Student Design Challenge was to design a packaging toolkit for educators to be distributed by the TICCIT™ (Trees into Cartons, Cartons into Trees) program that engages third through fifth graders in an environmental and educational activity that highlights the renewability and sustainability of paper and paperboard packaging.

This was my second year competing as a packaging student in the PPA Student Design Challenge

branding
_____
My team updated the logo and created geometric graphics inspired by the logo. We wanted the entire design to be cohesive and engaging not only for the students but for the teachers as well.

package design
_____
I created the unique package design that utilizes the secondary box as a shipping box and creates an interactive experience for the teacher receiving the materials. The shipping box also has the tree sapling box dieline printed on the interior of the box.

The primary box contains the folios which hold the teaching components. The primary box can easily fit on a teachers book shelf and be used for multiple years.

Each folio contains the teaching activity along with information about methodology and for parents. We even updated the activities, making them fun and educational.
